Sixers beat Scorchers in BBL 9 match two by eight wickets and got a dreamy start of the season.

A terrible start of innings for Scorchers but dreamy start for Sixers especially powerplay. While batting first Josh Inglis and Liam Livingston opened up the batting for Scorchers but first wicket fall on 5th ball of first over. Livingstone got lbw at two runs of Dwarshuis inswing delivery.
Scorchers were 4-29 in 5.3 overs – top-order batting line collapsed (Livingstone, C Bancroft, J Inglis and Ashtan Turner lost their wickets. This quick succession of Scorchers got some support with the partnership of 59 runs between skipper Mitch Marsh and Cameron Green.
In a very rough start, Scorchers again started losing wickets as four wickets within 22 runs. Cameron Green is the leading run-scorer for Scorcher with 36 runs and skipper with 32 runs respectively. Fawad Ahmed contributed 18 runs off nine balls with two mighty sixes and a boundary.
Tom Curran gave an awe-inspiring bowling start to Sydney Thunders with his early breakthrough on 5th ball of his very first over. Tom picked up three wickets in his four overs bowling spell while Dwarshuis and Manenti picked up two wickets each. Stephen O’Keefe and Sean Abbot got a single wicket in their four overs spell.

Josh Philippe and Daniel Hughes started batting innings for Sixers in their fashion. Philippe played an outstanding inning of 81 runs off 44 balls with 11 boundaries and three sixes. Perth Scorchers got their first wicket on 73/1 (7.4) overs by dismissing Dan Hughes bold by Chris Jordan.
Sydney Sixers lost their second wicket in the chase of small total 132 runs at 108/2 when Vince dismissed by Jordan. Sixers chased down the total quite comfortably within just 15 overs. Sydney Sixers won the match by eight wickets and 30 balls remaining to the second innings.
