BBL 9 Match 10 Results – 1st Innings
While batting first Jake Weatherald and Phil Salt opened the batting innings for Strikers and lost the first wicket on 4th ball by Jhye Richardson. Matt Short came to bat at number 3rd position of Strikers and build a solid partnership of 86 runs with Jake. The team maintained the run rate of over ten runs with the dismissal of Weatherald stunning batting inning ended in 14th over.

Josh Inglis and Liam Livingstone started the chase of 198 runs in quite an aggressive way. Both openers build the partnership of 124 runs in 8.4 overs and set up ground to the chase-able total. Perth Scorchers lost three wickets in two overs and Rashid Khan turned the game into Strikers’ hand. The game became watchable instead of turning from the one-sided contest in the chase of such a big total.
After losing three wickets in quick succession Perth Scorchers didn’t maintain the required run rate in the next four overs. The required run-rate jumped to 12 runs and the team kept on losing more wickets. Strikers used six bowlers of which only three completed their four overs bowling spell Harry Conway, Wes Agar, and Rashid Khan.
